Zachariah Phillip (son of Thomas, son of Henry Claxton and Fannie Jordan) was born circa 1830 in Edgefield, SC. Zachariah's first wife was Rebecca? and his second was Narcissa Cumbie, b 1841 in SC. Zachariah and Narcissa migrated to Georgia where Narcissa died in 1908. This couple has several children, one of which is my gr grandmother. This child is Hattie Claxton who married Charlie Dansby on Nov 17, 1895 in Heard Co, GA. Charlie and Hattie Dansby moved, via Texas, to Bryan Co, Oklahoma where both are buried. I would love to have more information about this Claxton line, especially in regard to Indian tribal membership. Hattie Claxton Dansby, by her own word, was Choctaw Indian.
