Tracing my Clawson line from John Clawson, b. 22 Jan 1715, prob. Piscataway, NJ, to Garabrant Clawson, b. 16 May 1739, prob. Piscataway, NJ, lived in Berkeley Co, WV, prob. from ca 1764-1800, d. ca 1810 in Fayette, Seneca Co, NY. His son, Garret B Clawson, b. 1767, prob. WV, apparently lived in Wheeling, WV in 1792 when his son Jacob F was born. He married Phoebe Benedict and had six sons:

Garret B, 1788
Jacob F, 1792, Wheeling, WV
Peter, 1793, VA?
Abraham, 1799 VA?
Isaac A, 1802
John Garrah, 1808, North Hector, NY

Garret B, Peter, Abraham, and Isaac settled in North Hector, now Valois, NY. Jacob and John Garrah went to Huron Co, OH.
