Your latest post stands to reason. My information concerning Caroline's parents comes from WPA records. Everything I have recieved regarding her father seems to cross reference. But according to records John would have only been about 17 when Caroline was born. Huh?? He would have married Frances Stephens some 4 or 5 years after her birth. John Laird sent me info (thanks John) , there was a Josiah Clawson who married a Sarah Erwin. Caroline's death info says that her mother was C Irwin. Obviously the same last name. I guess as in all geneology one question always opens the door to ten more!
