Hey, Thanks for the info! Yes, the James I asked about (b.1821) had a daughter Sarah who married the gentlemen you mentioned. I hadn't heard about the 'arguement' before- Before he died, my grandfather said when his dad was in school, the teacher said 'You don't spell your name Clossin, it's spelled Clawson' Well, he didn't listen to the teacher, so we still spell it that way. One of his brothers though did spell it Clawson.
I don't have any of my info. with me (I'm away at school, so I don't know how much help I can be.
