Clawson Family Genealogy Forum

Thank you so much for the information that so many of you have provided. No one was able to provide a link though. It looks as though that there were DEFINATELY two related Clawson's that arrived in America. Cannot determine relationship yet but believe it was two brothers and one brought his son along. There was definately a much later Clawson family that arrived in America and migrated into Minnesota and Wisconsin........There is some link to the Clawson's have involvement in Piracy and Ship Captain(ing). I have NOT found slave owners, but figure there must have been some because there is a line of Clawson's in the Carolina's that is african-american. I have definately determined that the Clawson's were very aggressive people. Lots of court records to prove their violent acts to settle disagreements and lots of historical references to prove they were true "pioneers" in every sense of the word. Founding towns, and businesses. Leaders of wagon trains. Senator. Farmers. Teachers. Soldiers. and the list goes on. I am very proud to say that at no point have I found a single Clawson that any of us would want to hide....At least not yet........KEEP THE INFORMATION COMING.
