I have a little on Andrew Clawson married Mary Kiggins 3/5/1830 Shelby C, Oh,she was
daughter of Jonathan Kiggins and Elizabeth
Boyer(Lewis Boyer, her father, one of Washington's bodyguards thru out war and quite a character) My g.g.g.grandfather
James Kiggins married I assume Andrew's sister, Mercy Ann Clawson. I found a deed in Celina OH courthouse, Andrew sold land to william and elizabeth boyer in 1831 in Godfrey Reservation, Shanes Crossing which is now Rockford OH. Would be interested in anything you know concerning Andrew and Mercy Anns parents as there is a cousin who believes Indian blood entered the Kiggins
family thru Clawsons. I am suspect, however, Anthony Shane, founder of Shanes crossing
was half indian, it was an indian town for the most part in 1820, on the frontier,a very harsh existence being in the midst of the great black swamp, any info on Kiggins would be appreciated, Jonathans father we
believe was Thomas, some records say he was
from Ireland, spelling of Caigin, other from scotland, kiggins were in Va in 1640, would like to connect dots to european origin, Bye andy
