Guess what?????I was able to make contact the clerk in Jay County Indiana.....she looked up the marriage record of Robert Charles Bunch and Delilah Ann Clawson.....the licensed was requested on May 3, 1855 but the marriage didn't occur until June 10, 1855 AND the last named used on the marriage license was NOT Clawson it was "Garner".......it did not list that anyone signed for permission of the marriage, which would have been needed if Delilah was born in 1841 (aged 14)....this turns it into a horse of a different color...Here are my ideas....there is a Garner Clawson married to Charlotte Huston March 6, 1828 in Montgomery County, INDIANA...he probably stayed there rather than moving on to Fountain or Warren county with his brothers and cousins.....there is a Delila Clouse marrying a DT Williams in Montgomery County, Indiana on August 23, 1849.......also Garner Clawson is on the 1840 Montgomery County Census, but I haven't seen the actual record......there is a Delila A. Garner on the 1850 Randolph County, Indiana Census (Deerfield Township)....Delilah may have been married to a Clawson or before she married Mr. Bunch and her maiden name is Garner, or she could have been married to a Garner before she married Mr. Bunch, or she could be the daughter of Garner Clawson, son of Peter and Dolly Garrison Clawson and somehow the records got messed up.......I'm checking all my sources but it may take a couple days.......Montgomery County, Indiana is Crawfordsville, Indiana which is next to Fountain County - they didn't keep track of Marriages, births or deaths prior to 1882 which is odd because Crawfordsville was the land office when they opened up the areas for settlement that the Clawson's settled in.......the Historical records for Montgomery County, Indiana are kept at the Montgomery County Library.....Hope this helps
