Interested in tracing Clawson ancestory. Grandfather John Clawson born 1881, Illinois, married Lavona Sexton. Fathered 18 children. Believe his father was Hiram Clawson, Utah, part of the original Morman settlement. Family stories claim he lead the Mountain Meadows incident in Utah. Grandparents meet in Nebraska, homesteaded in Kansas and Eastern Colorado in 1909. The children homesteaded in Central/Western Colorado. John Clawson died 1929 in Colorado. Difficult to trace linage. I own a small magazine in Durango, Colorado and would love to contact other Clawsons, etc. e-mail at realestateguide@frontier.net
