Looking for great grandfather's antecedents. He lived as adult in Sedalia, MO. Married 1829 to Naema Parkhurst One of their sons, Andrew Evans Clawson, 1823-1904, is my grandfather. Would like to know where John E. was born, his traceable ancestors, country of origin, etc. An unconfirmed hint from professional genealogists suggests that the original name was "Clusias", and that the country of origin was the Netherlands. Friesland area.
