Found their marriage date as Oct 2, 1862 but I don't know where the marriage took place. The info I got from Sarah Jane's gr granddaughter said they married in Vermilion Co. IL but they're not on the IL marriage index, that I can find. They are in the 1870 Champaign Co. IL census as Jacob and Sarah J. CLOSSON. They had children Lewis & James, who died young & dau named Louie (I think her name was Hellen C.)who married a Hassler.
