Peter Clawson married to Dolly Garrison had a brother named John, this is generally agreed. A John Clawson married Louise Wheatley in 1796 Miami, Ohio. This John died November 15 1827 in Preble County, Ohio...Louise may have died January 22, 1851.

No one has found a death date for Dolly Garrison Clawson, but it is generally believed that Dolly and Teresay are not the same person. (Teresay being the second wife and no one has found a maiden name).

Peter (married to Dolly) died August 1836 in Shelby County, Ohio.

I am wondering, when John died in 1827 who took care of Louise until her death in 1851? She does not appear on any of her childrens census records. Also, could it be possible that Peter (John's brother) married Louise after the death of his brother and his wife, Dolly?

There is a question as to Louise's name because it has been found as Louise, Lois, Lovie and Mary.

Could Teresay be Louise Wheatley? It certainly wouldn't be unheard of for a brother to marry the widow of his brother.

I hope someone can "throw this around" and give me some feedback on it.
