I see where it is you are going, but I started researching with my grandfather a few years before he died and he specifically told me that his grandfather who would be Josiah said that his father Garret said they came from Holland. Maybe its right, maybe its not. I have come up with nothing of my Clawson line while I was researching while I was in Germany for a year studying abroad.. so I know that there is no "real record" of us being from there. Just those who lived there for a short amount of time or who had moved there but none were related.
Since our family traveled in packs and took on each others own it is hard to say what is what. The Clawson family has so many secrets that are hidden and I know that those secrets would FILL in the missing blanks and bring in all the true information, if only we could find the secrets..
My great uncle told me of a few things that his father and grandfather knew of but he wouldnt tell me exactly what they were. So who is to know...! Hopefully someday this will all link together, until then we have to make due with what we have!
