Definately matches. Here is the information that I have:

**Source: Delphi Times April 20, 1888

**Josiah Clawson born March 22, 1825 died April 16, 1888
Age 63 years and 23 days. Married Rosannah Enoch in January of 1845. She died August 11, 1849. Children: James and William Henry (William survives). In 1850 Mr. Clawson moved to INdiana. 2nd marriage to Malinda Hatter on July 16, 1851. 5 children: George, Orrin, Charles, Nelson, and Cinderella. Religion: Member of M.E. Church in Starke County**

Josiah is buried at Zion Cemetary in Madison Township, Carroll County, Indiana. I can get you a picture of his grave.....give me a couple days.
Can you "without a doubt" prove he is the son of Peter and Dolly Garrison Clawson?????????
I am strongly suspecting that Peter married to Sarah Iford Clawson was a twin to Josiah married to Sarah McGrath....my reasons are, born 1801 and both are the only Clawson's that settle in Carroll County......also, I believe that when THIS Josiah's father died, he was "farmed" out to his uncle, Peter Clawson, in Carroll County Indiana.....can prove it with census records. I believe Josiah married to McGrath got ill (maybe with Cancer or something) and sent Josiah and one daughter (Eliza or Sarah) to live with Peter and Sarah Iford Clawson in Carroll County Indiana.
I can support this claim with census records, wills, etc.....email me directly with you information ecsinc@remconline.net
Thanks
