Joseph Clawson was the son of Andrew Clawson and Mary Russell. Joseph was born 7 Mar 1803 in Butler County, Ohio (census 1840 and 1850 bp Indiana ?). He married Cynthia Parkhurst 26 Feb 1824, Butler County, Ohio. There were five children from this marriage, George W. was the fourth born. After Cynthia's death, 28 Dec 1834 Joseph married Her sister Belinda Parkhurst 14 Apr 1836 in Butler County, Ohio. Belinda was the Mother of my GGrandfather, Mahlon Clawson, so he and George were half brothers not step as I previosly stated.
