Hi Harry,
I don't have your John Clave attached to my line yet BUT I have sort of sheet that I drawn all the other Claves I come across on.This might be your guy.?
John Clave b. Oct 20, 1839 Christened Nov. 10, 1839 Stonykirk, Wigtown. He had a brother Andrew (like your family) b. Jan. 10, 1835 and was cr. Jan. 10, 1835 in Od Luce, Wigtown.Looks like they moved after Andrew was b.
They are kids of David Clave and Sarah Rodgers. No dates.
I wonder if this David could be son of David Clave and Rachel McCargo or a brother to James who m. Mary Irvine (Stoneykirk).James had a son David b. 1846 so maybe named his son after a brother. So many possibilities.
This last part is just guessing.
Shelley
