I have in my family history a Catherine Clause, an Anna Clause and a Hannah Clause. Catherine Clause was born about 1806.
I have a pic of her, it was taken about 1856. She was married to a John Mike/Myke and was know to my family only as "Granny Mike/Myke."
I have found that they were indeed Mohawk Indian and may also have some Missassaugan Indian in them as well.
Anna Clause and Hannah Clause were both married to a Peter Mike/Myke. I don't have a great deal of information on either of them, but if they help you in anyway or you think this information may help you, or you would like to see the pic of Catherine Clause you can contact me at the attached e-mail address.
I would however like to hear from you as maybe we can figure out how the families connect if at all.
I'd truly appreciate any help I can get and as well will gladly share any information I have.

~Marti Myke~
