I have just spent some time in my copy of the Clauss family book I have inherited from my grandmother looking for your John Adam Clause. It's a small book,(48pgs) printed in 1939 from a reunion in the Bethlehem area. There are some John's and some Adams and some sketchy places he could fit but just not enough info to help you. Sorry. I tried!
