Johann Karl Erdmann Claus, Americanized to Charles Carl Claus-Born May 13 1855.
Came to the U.S. in 1872. I have no record of anyone coming here with him. Had 2 children-Albert and Lillian Claus. His parents are Karl Gottfried Claus and Johanne Christiane Haustein. They lived in Dresden, Germany. Don`t know exactly, but his mother was remarried to a Jahr. Johann had a step-father and step-brother and sister. His step-sister lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her name was Selma Jahr. She married Willis Webb. Any information would be very appreciative.
