In Reply to: Re: Claunch research by Mike, first, I'm at a library computer so will have to order my data to relay by e-mail. It is very awkward for me to do any gedcom entry at this computer station so I'll bring what I have from home and relay it to you as unambiguously as I can. I do know of several others interested in the Claunch line. One of these pointed me in the right direction. However, for reasons I do not understand I haven't been able to contact either of these persons for nine months or so. As for Johnson county, in the Seattle Public Library (I'm on Bainbridge Island) is a family history of the Claunchs donated to the library and written by a Claunch in Johnson Co, TX. (or could it be a Johnston Co? There are so many counties in TX that I have trouble distinguishing them.) Anyway, I will get what I have to you and look up this family history again when I can get over to Seattle. This history is not, however, the source of most of my knowledge. Mike O'Hair of 526

I would be very interested in the Claunch publication. If you can get info on who donated it, maybe I can get in touch with them and see if they would donate a copy to the Public Library here in Johnson County, TX. Yes, it is Johnson instead of Johnston. Named after a Confederate General as was several counties in this area. The Claunch line has given me the most difficulty of all my lines. Until recently, I had no info on others doing reseach except for Mary Lane. Look forward to any info you wish to forward to me any way you can. I'm certainly not picky! Maybe I can find a connection. Thanks and until later. Mike.
