I don't know if these are your Clarkson's but I found a Clarkson in the 1851 Census for Vaughan Township, York Co. Ontario.

It listed all the children as single but there was nothing listed for Catherine, I am assuming she may have been a widow. I think Emily Clarkson may have been my gg grandmother, I'm still trying to prove it a little better :o) I hope this helps! Lisa
