I am searching for info on members of the W A CLARKSON family who were charter members of the Plainview Baptist Church, later re-named Fair Baptist Church, in Stephens Co., OK.
In transcribing the minutes I found the following:
The Plain View Baptist Church was organized with 12 charter members from the Union Sunday School meeting at the Lozier School House in 1905. The charter members were:
Mr. and Mrs. Turner Smith
Mr. and Mrs. Crayton and their daughters - Lena and Marcella
Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Lane
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Clarkson, and
Mrs. and Mrs. J. W. Paramore.
In 1959 only two of the charter members were still living: Mrs. W. A. Clarkson - Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Lena Crayton Lovell of Marietta, Texas.
What caught my eye about your post was that the CLARKSON family was in Rockwall Co., Tx earlier. The CRAYTON family also lived in Rockwall, and I wondered if they migrated together.
