Charles C. Clarkson (b. Oct 6, 1810 d. Sept 14, 1873 m. Nov 16, 1836) Matilda Wycoff Schureman (b. Oct 23, 1812 d. Feb 2. 1862)
They were married in Middletown, NJ and she was from New Brunswick, NJ. Three children:
Charles (b. 1839 d. after 1873 m. Oct 19, 1863) Juliette Brown
John Shureman (b. 1842 d. Sept 12, 1882 m about 1869 unknown)
Matilda Shureman (b. July 31, 1846 d. Feb 28, 1898 m. Aug 16, 1871) Dr. James Wallace Crowley (b. New Orleans, LA Mar 6, 1843 d. Cairo, Egypt May 3, 1904)
Charles Clarkson was one of nine children of:
Jacob Clarkson (b. Apr 13, bap. Sept 19, 1768 Christ Church, Phila. PA d. Sept 24, 1832 m. Nov 28, 1795) and Jane Stevenson (b. Aug 5, 1772 d. Sept 24, 1832) dau. of Robert Stevenson. He was a Phila. merchant.
They are part of the Phila Clarkson line which goes back to the NY Clarksons and Matthew Clarkson, Secy NY Colony.
