Hi Barbara:One of my ancestors John Clarkson b.1710 in Bradford County Yorkshire & d.4/15/1757 in Goochland County, Va. m.Mary Cook b.1717 Goochland County,Va & she d. 1822 Goochland. A son David b. 1737 Goochland Cty,Va.& d. 1822 Tenn. m.Ann Perkins on July 8,1760 b.1741 in Va & d.1825 in Tenn.
David & Ann had a son John b. May 26,1765 in Franklin County,Ga & d. Feb 9,1832 in Ga.He married Sarah Lucinda Bookout Oct28,1790 in Ga.She was b.June 20,1770 @ (?) & she d.Aug 22,1832 in Franklin County Ga.
Their son Joseph 8/13/1792-1/21/1845 had a son James Hinge 7/8/1819-6/17/1883 had a son John Marion 3/27/1842-4/23/1938 had a son James Luther Clarkson (my Grandfather) 11/15/1876-1903. He sired my father, Marion Clyde Clarkson.
Any help you can give on the jump from England to USA will be much appreciated.
