Actually there were three distinct Clarkson lines. The two mentioned and also the line (my family line) of John Clarkson who came to America ca 1720. He was granted 500 acres of prime land in VA by the king as a gift for his personal service and friendship. This line was originally Clerkson/Clerkston in England & VA and the desc.s moved to SC>TN>GA>Ala. I have a lot of info on this line if anyone is looking.
