Mary Clarkson was born and married in St.Kitts, BWI, and died in Phila. where her children were born, she is buried in Mt. Peace Cemetery there. Isaac Prince was born in Basking Ridge, NJ died in Phila and is buried with his wife. Was was US Consul at St. Bartholomew, Fr, WI, 1806-1809, then setteled in Phila. He was a member of Anthenaeum there and a partner with Edward & David Gratz, merchants. He was a descendant of William Brewster (1566-1644) a Signer of the Mayflower Compact, Nov 11, 1620 and a Ruling Elder of Plymouth Colony. He inherited 1500 acres of land in Beaver Creeek, W Va in 1834 from his uncle, John James Beckley, on which his sons Clarkson and William settled.

Marys father was:

David Matthew Clarkson (b. Mar 28, Bap. Apr 3
1765, d. Feb 20, 1821 m. Dec 27, 1787 Ann Amory (b. July 7, 1769 d. Sept 5, 1826)daughter (probably) of William Amory and Ann Somarsall. David Clarkson was a member of 1st Troop of Phila Cavalry and 1st US Consul at St. Eustatius, Neth., WI. He was born in Phila, went to St. Kitts, BWI, early 1787, died at Statia and is buried there. Ann Amory was born and married in St. Kitts, died there, and is buried there.
