My Grandfather Jo Clarkson came from Lancashire, UK (I think) and married my Grandmother Rose Utley in Rhode Island and she was from Lancashire, UK. But I am the same as you, not a researcher just an interested Clarkson. FYI they divorced and he remarried, but I have no idea who he married, haven't gotten that far yet.
