Thomas KING and Sarah CLARKE, daughter of Herbert CLARKE, presumably married about 1796. Their children were: Eliza Aug. 2 1797 Samuel July 13 1799 Herbert July 13 1801 Sarah May 2 1803 James Nov 10 1805 Ann abt 1807. The family lived in the parish of St. Andrew Holborn, in the City of London, but were non-conformists. The first 5 children's births were registered at Dr. Williams' Library for Protestant Dissenters (years after their birth). So far I have not found the birth registration for Ann. Thomas was a Cheesemonger, and apparently fairly wealthy. He died in 1809. It is likely that he is the Thomas KING, aged 54, buried in Bunhill Fields Cemetery, Sept. 22, 1809. That is all I have so far. I will post more info as I obtain it. I descend through the son Samuel King, b. 1799. For details, refer to KING forum messages #17108 and #18146. --Jane Elderfield Notify Administrator about this message?
