I am looking for John W. Corey's parents. Were they Hiram & Phoebe A.? (surname unknown but would LOVE to know!) Some say Hiram was from New York while others say Wisconsin. Who were their (Hiram & Phoebe) parents & where did they come from? I have poured through the Cory Society website with NO results. Very frustrating! It's as if John W. Coreys history started with Hiram & Phoebe OR ??? I don't know.
Also, Johns sons Alvin (Corey) married a Anne Clarke of Peshtigo, Wi. Her mother was in the fire of 1871 BUT their are no records of the family when I searched the census records. Obviously, they survived the blaze because my mothers grandmother was born years later around 1895. (?) Again, VERY frustrating.

(wife of John W. Corey daughter of James & Adelaide Grant)
Alvin Corey & Anne (Anna) Clarke
(Anne's mother was born in Scotland)
Irving Corey & Mercedes Duby
(Irvings wife & their only child was my now deceased mother Laura Anne Corey.)
The MacGregors are related to the Clarkes. Perhaps through Anne Clarkes mother? Her surname may have been MacGregor.
I would like to know the Coreys, Clarkes, Grants, & MacGregors origins.
