My Great Grandfather Matthew or Mathais married Adeline Lively 12-31-1883 in Anderson County, Texas. They had three children (Cora Bell, Grover C., and Eula). My Grandmother was Cora Bell (Clark) Murdock.
Mathais/Matthew and Adeline (Addie) apparently divorced before the 1900 census when he was reported as a 55 year old divorced farmer born August 1844 in New York of an English father and a New York born mother.
I have yet to find when or where either he or Adeline died, although the Lively web site says she died in 1953. A more likely story extracted from a rambling narrative by an elderly relative SEEMS to indicate that she may have died soon after 1900 in North Texas or Oklahoma.
