CLARK family, Ireland>Brooklyn, NY>Missouri; 1835 to present
Barney(Bernard?)and Elizabeth CLARK immigrated from Ireland (Co. Kerry?)with son, Peter, betw. 1835 and 1839. They lived in Brooklyn (possibly St. James Cathedral Parish) where 2nd son, William Bernard was born in 1839. Both sons enlisted with New York Voluntary Infantry during Civil War. Peter marr. Mary L. SEAMAN in 1858; their sons were Harry Bernard (b 1859) and William Floyd CLARK(b 1862) (Wm. F. changed his name later to William S. FLOYD; marr. Elizabeth RUSTIN and stayed in NY) Harry B. CLARK moved to Missouri with his uncle, William, and wife, Anna RILEY Clark, and their children: John Bernard (b. 1866 in NY; marr. Mary Matilda STUMPF),William (b 1868 in NY),Mary(b 1870 in Clay or Platte Co.Missouri),Elizabeth (b 1873 in St. Joseph, Mo; marr. __MOORE),Annie (b 1875 in St. Joe) and Josephine (b 1878 in St. Joe; marr. Fred BURGDERFER). Harry B. CLARK was a farmer in Clay Co, MO, and marr. Emily GRIFFITH of Kearney, Mo. in 1882, and their descendants are known (I'm one) This is long and confusing, but I'm hoping that any other descendants of Barney and Elizabeth Clark might find this message.
