Isaac, Mariah, Lebbeus CLARK of Cedar Iowa
I'm researching the family of Isaac CLARK, b @1835 PA, and his wife, Mariah b@1837 PA
Isaac and Mariah are listed in the 1860 Cedar, Lee Co. Iowa census with 1 son, Lebbeus, age 1.
In the 1870 census of Cedar, Lee Co. Iowa, they are listed as "J.N." and "Maria" CLARK, and no children.
In the 1880 census for Cedar, Lee Co. Iowa they are listed as Isaac N. and Mariah CLARK, with daughters, "E. L. Atitia" (Letitia, also known as Tishie) and Mary L.
I have photos of them dated circa 1890s from Kansas, and by the 1900 census Letitia has married Wm Richardson, and they are living in Canton Kansas.
By the 1910 census they have a daughter Claudine, b 1905.
I think that Letitia's father, Isaac, is a son of Lebbeus and Mary CLARK of PA, but I have no proof of that.
In the 1840 census there is a "Lebeus" CLARK, living in Luzerne, Fayette Co. PA, age 30-40, with wife, age 30-40, and 5 sons and 3 daughters.
In the 1850 census of Amwell, Washington Co PA there is a
" Lerbins" CLARK b 1805 PA, with wife, Mary, b 1809
and children: Joseph, Nancy, Isaac, Emeline, Abner, Sarah, "Lebins" and Mary.
All these spelling variants of Lebbeus are making my eyes spin!
I would appreciate ANY help verifying that I have my facts straight, and that Letitia CLARK RICHARDSON is the grandchild of Lebbeus CLARK b 1804/05 in PA would be greatly appreciated!!
Also, I would love to hear from anyone connected to Letitia and William Richardson's family!
