Benjamin F. Clark Jr., 85, of Fairview Heights, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at St. Mary's Health Center in Richmond Heights, Mo.
He was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Sikeston, Mo. Mr. Clark was a member of the Caseyville Democratic Club and Elks Lodge 664 in Fairview Heights; a life member of VFW Post 7980 in Millstadt, AMVETS Post in Madison, Emeth Lodge 1030 AF & AM and AARP: and a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Wilda (Perry) Clark of Fairview Heights; one daughter, Linda Wolff of St. Louis; four sons, Bruce W. (Shirley) Clark of St. Louis, Benjamin F. (Barbara) Clark III of Granite City, Robert (Kathleen) Clark of Edwardsville and David A. Clark of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers, Robert O. Clark of Jonesboro and William H. (Peggy) Clark of Oran, Mo.; three sisters, Imogene F. Graviett of Oran, Glenda (Tharon) Anthony of Huntingtown, Md. and Patricia J. (Lou) Roberts of Parris, Calif.; one granddaughter, Rebecca Clark; one grandson, Joseph Clark; and two stepgrandchildren, Yvette Miller and Vicki Perry.
He was preceded in death by a son, Leland R. Clark; his parents, Benjamin F. and Nellie M. (Alton) Clark Sr.; one brother, Allen W. Clark; and one sister, Lucille Thackery.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 23, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville with the Rev. Charley Westbrook officiating.
Burial was in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
