John Clark b. ca 1848 in McBride household in Ark 1850
There is a little boy,John Clark, in my Allen and Elisabeth McBride's household in the 1850 census of Independence Co., Ark.He is listed as 2 years old.I am trying to find why he is there.Does anyone have a McBride marriage to your Clarks? There was also a John Clark and a Catherine age 28 in that same census.....We are wondering if she might be a McBride..although we have not found her to be a daughter.
And I don't know why the little boy would have been in my McBride household..but maybe just visiting when the census taker came around. The daughters in my McBride line that we know of are Malinda, Mahaley, Emeline, Racheal Angeline, Lucindaand Alvarena..My Lucinda was married to Buckner Garrison and Rachael Angeline to Van Buren Garrison. We don't know if the other girls might have been married and not recovered.....or if perhaps there is another unknown daughter.
Perhaps, too, Allen and his wife Elizabeth Anderson might have Clark family connections other than a daughter's marriage. They were both born in Tenn around 1798-1800.
Do any of these names ring a bell with anyone? Thanks for your help!
