They may well have gone there. This I know, a new Clark matching the DNA of John Clarke of Saybrook and two of Deacon George Clarke's childrens' descendents has turned up. Anyone know Clarks that went to northern NY by 1840. The farthest back is John D. Clark who married Margaret Nessell. They lived in Jefferson County NY.He was born in NY in 1809. Anyone else want their DNA analyzed, check the Clark Project at familytreedna.com
