I am researching JOHN CLARK, my 3 g-grandfather, b. 10/13/1788, and married RACHEL PARKER in Guilford County, N.C. on October 15, 1811.
I have Hinshaw, Vol. I, North Carolina, p. 493, which lists John Clark and Margaret Clark, with Jesse, Francis, Jonathan, James, Nicholas, Christina, Jehu, Caleb and Benjamin. No John.
The Will of JONATHAN PARKER, father-in-law, of JOHN, states:"I wish all my lands sold, the place where my son Jonathan now lives and the place where John Francis deceased."This could have meant he was a neighbor of John Francis Clark.
Do you have anything on the John Clark in your message?
I suspect that my JOHN CLARK is the nephew of JOHN CLARK and MARGARET, but have no proof.
I am completely stonewalled on his man.No parents, siblings, etc.Any help appreciated.
