Thanks for your info.Do you have where in NC your John was born? Could the lines be close enough to SC that a person could be mistaken about living in one or the other?
What might have been SC to Caleb is in fact now NC?
The only other piece of info that might be of help to you is that he joined the military in Darlington, SC in 1815 and was only in there a few months.He was married to Mary Polly mUllins in 1828 in Hall co. Ga.So you see that is all I have to go on from his birth until 1828.His first daughter was born in 1827? in Tn.Were they there before they married? Was his daughter by another woman and then he married Mary so she would have a mother? We don't know where in Tn so I can't track that.
Can you give me some more background info about John?
Do you have any idea who his parents might be?
Thanks for all your help.We have done the DNA and matched
one person but they don't have anymore info than I do.
