Just within the last week we have found a DNA match between two CLARK lines that did not realize they were kin. One line settled in Laurens and Montgomery County GA around 1807. These included John Clark b. 1768, Henry Clark b. abt. 1760, Eli Clark b. abt. 1775, and Hester Clark b. 1774 who married Thomas Lindsey. I descend from John Clark b. 1768.
The other line is descended from Wilborn Drury/Drewry Clark b. 1817 in SC. Possibly he had a brother named Webb who was b. abt. 1810 in SC. Some of the folks who descend from Wilborn say he was the son of Drury Clark b. 1786. This is based on a family Bible. They think this Drury Clark is the son of a Drury Clark who is buried at St. Phillips Church in Charleston. They have documentation that says this line at one time lived in Brunswick County, VA. There was also Samuel Clark in the area and I wonder if he isn't tied to this CLARK family. While I've seen some postings about some of these folks these posting are very old. Anyone out there with knowledge of this Sunter SC group of Clarks? Sandy
