Lori, If you have census records, you are probably aware of this, but there were definitely numerous Clarks in Huntingdon County, PA and Mt Union in that county. Following is a quote from our family history book, written by my uncle. "William F. Hatt, was for many years, the superintendent in charge of the work on the mountain at Mt. Union. He was in the employ of Harbison-Walker Refractories Co. which manufactured brick. Around the year 1900, Mt. Union was known as "The Brick Capitol of the World." There were three large brick companies which employed the majority of the men in the Mt. Union area. Mt. Union was a "boom" town from the late 1800's until the great Depression of the late 20's and early 30's." I hope this may be of help to you. Lana Clark Notify Administrator about this message?
