William Clargo was baptised in Bridgwater in 1775. In 1793 he joined the army, spending most of his time in India. He appeared in Bristol, complete with wife and three children, in 1825. He died in Bristol in 1863. I am descended from William, through his son,also William, baptised in 1825, and his daughter, Mary Ann, born in 1852.
Soldier William's parents were John and Ann. There is a possible marriage of this couple in 1765 in Frome.
Do you have a family who has disappeared which match this information? Have you evidence of Clargos in Bridgwater? Or Bristol?
