Married 10-27-1823 Halifax Co. VA

death was after 1860 in either Boone
wife
Mary Clardy birth 1802 Halifax Co. VA
death was after 1860 in BooneCo. WV

I dnt have all the dates on the kids. Im still working on that info...

here is what I have so far on them.. I know that they all ended up in Boone and Lincoln Co. WV after 1850.

james w. mays married dolly mcneely
martha mays married george w. whitten (brother to james whitten)

mary francis married James Whitten (my line)
Thomas Mays married ?????
Jane Mays married ????
Michael Mays married Aletha Ferrell
Catherine Mays married ???
Pleasant Mays jr married Rhoda Estep

I cant find Pleasant Mays on the 1830 or 1840 census anywhere at the moment. I know that he turns up in Botetrout Co. VA around 1840.

Ive found several Mays in Halifax Co. around 1820 and Im wondering if one of them might be his father or siblings.

I do have from recent trip to the DAR library a list of Mays that were married in Halifax co. VA.

we have often wonder who his parent and siblings were.

If you want to email me personally thats fine too. Im willing to work and share information with you and others on this family.

I did find out that Thomas Clardy did serve in the Rev War too.

patsy :-)
