Hares of NY>IL>IA

In digging for information on Nicholas Hare and his wife Mary Rice of Onondaga Co., NY and later DeKalb Co., IL, I found the following link:
http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ifetch2?/u1/data/ia+index+51415440720+F

For copyright reasons, I will not reproduce what is written there but it mentions Nicholas Hare and his wife, Magaret Gardner and their daughter Hannah who was born in Duanesburg, Schoharie Co., NY. Hannah m. Charles Robinson in Camillus, NY on Aug. 19, 1838. Charles and Hannah farmed in Onondaga Co., NY then in Huron Co., OH before settling in Clayton Co., IA.

Please, can anyone connect my Nicholas and this one? My Nicholas was born in 1779 while his wife, Mary or Marcy Rice was born in 1794. The age difference leaves room for an earlier wife. Also I have 2 sons and a daughter attributed to Mary Rice, James B (b.1824 in Onondaga Co., NY), Myron H. (b.1827 Onondaga Co., NY) and Marenda (b.1836 in Houghton, Ont). There is a Henry Hare and later an Ovid Hare living in close proximity with Nicholas and James in both DeKalb, Co., IL and Butler Co., IA. A David Hare also served in the same CW unit with Myron, both enlisting from Earl Twp, LaSalle Co., IL.

Any information on these families would be appreciated.
