Where in Michigan? There were a few Clapsaddles that ended up in Michigan.
Nicholas Clapsaddle died in 15 JUN 1874 in Davison, Genesee Co., Michigan, USA. He married Elenor McCollun and had 9 children.
George Clapsaddle, born 7 Dec 1805 in German Flats, Herkimer County, New York, and died in Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. He married Elizabeth Quade and they had 4 children. Alexander, their son, married Celicia Snell. Alexander and Celicia were married in Canada and then moved to Croswell, Michigan. From there they moved to Snover, Michigan. They homesteaded 160 acres, the northeast quarter of section 4, Moore Township, Sanilac County.
Another son of George and Elizabeth, William, settled in Brown City, Michigan.
Mary Clapsaddle married George Harris and settled in Coloma, MI.
There are probably more.
