Wayne,

Yes, the database can get bogged down with all the direct and collateral ancestors, but I like to know who my ancestors were closely associated with. It can give clues to how they lived and how they became involved with other families.

Conrad and Maria had two other children between William and Catharina: Elizabeth and George. Elizabeth appears to have died young and George is reported to have moved to Chenango County, NY.

My grandfather also lists a Peter after Catherine that I have not found any information on yet. But is supposed to be listed in Conrad's bible.

The Clappers used several names in all lines and generations as well. It is a help that they made a habit of using the patronymic middle initial. It helps sort them out.
