I am also looking for this Jeremiah Clapp. I am descended from Cyrene (your Sirene?)Clapp. According to 1900 census of Adams Co, IL, Cyrene's father was born in Massachusettes, his mother born in Illinois.Jerry Clapp and Martha Ellen Clark are identified in Cyrene's marriage record to Hessie Ann Reeves of Brown Co IL. I have not found marriage records for Jerry and Martha. Nor have I looked at previous Illinois census records where the family lived...but plan to do so. I believe their were also children of Jerry and Martha named Julia, Albert, and William.
