My gr gr grandfather was Elisha Clapp,came to Texas in 1820,was with Sam Houston at Battle San Jacinto. Wife 's name was Elizabeth,daughter Mary married Issac P. Nixon,my grandfather was born in HUNTSVILLE,tX IN 1861,mARY DIED IN 1863. Think he was born in BeaufortN.C. I have just started with this genealogy.
