Dear Chris: I am writing this post without benefit of my info in front of me - if it seems a little lean. I am looking for the father of Quartus Clapp who was born in Rensselaer County, NY, c. 1816. Quartus emigrated with his Uncle Benoni Clapp from Steuben CO, NY, in 1837, to MI. Your William could have been a brother of Quartus. Henry could have been his father - the county names notwithstanding. Interesting Wm. d. MI
