Thank you for responding. I need to know the surnames of several of the Clapp wives. The wife of Nicholas Clapp b. 1575, d. 14 Mar 1631 was Elizabeth ?. She was born in 1579 and d. 24 Mar 1631. I also am curious as to their death dates being only 10 days apart. Nicholas Clapp's mother's name was Christian ? . she d. 25 Jul 1609. I would like to know her surname if you have it. Nicholas' father was Richard Clapp.Richard Clapp's mother was Alice ? d. 25 May 1555 in Hartford, Eng. I would like her surname also. If you have any info on these wives and their parents or beyond, I am very interested. And the father of Richard Clapp being William Clapp (husband of Alice)who d. 20 May 1555, I would be very interested in learning who his parents and beyond are. If you can help me add to what I already have I would appreciate it. Our line goes down through Jane Clapp who is the dau of Nicholas Clapp. She was married to John Pope in 1634.
