I am searching for info on my Gr Gr Grandfathers parents. My Gr Grandfather was Jeremiah (or Jeramiah) Clapp born around 1839 in NC. was married to Elizabeth Jane Jones born 7 Dec 1843 on 8 Jun 1865 in Adams County Illinois, She died 3 Feb 1868, He then married Martha Ellen Clark Woodard born (?) about 1835 on 1 Oct 1868 she died 13 Feb 1922. These are their children Josephine born 1866 Clara Bell Woodard born 1867 Cyrene Raymond born 10 Mar 1871 Catherine (my GrGrandmother) bor 16 Sep 1874 Stephen Albert born 2 Jan 1876 Lucy Ann born 25 Mar 1877.
The only info I have found on Jeremiah's parents is an 1850 Federal Census listing John & Abby Clapp and son Jeremiah (unsure of spelling) and sister Margaret. Jeremiah was 11 and Margaret was 3. Jeremiah and his wife Ellen are then found on a Buckhorn twp Brown Co Illinos census 10Jun1880. Any info would be most gratefully welcomed!
