I am a descendant of Thomas Clapp who was Roger's first cousin and came to the colonies three years after Roger. I found reference to the Roger Clapp birthplace on the web site of the Mary and John Clearing House. They sell a copy of Roger's Memoirs which includes an appendix with a picture of the house in Salcombe Regis in which Roger was born. Last September I visited the area around Salcombe Regis and Sidmouth and located the house from the information in the memoirs. I took a photo of the house and used it on my Christmas card this past year. I would like to send you one either by email or regular post. Please let me know if you would like one.
