Clapp - Luey connection in MA/NH ca 1850, and the Smead family loom

I'm trying to trace the path of a Smead family loom that's in the PVMA museum in Deerfield, Mass. It was donated by a John Luey who said it came from Cornish, NH, in the 1870s. It had previously been used by Erastus Smead in Deerfield in the 1730s, and while his loom went that way his account book passed to the museum via Cephas Clapp of Deerfield. Any information connecting the Luey and Spalding families of Cornish to the Smead and Clapp families of Deerfield would be appreciated. I think a Clarissa Spalding (ca 1795 - 1855) married John Luey and lived in Cornish, but how do they connect to the Clapps or Smeads?
